As far as neighborhoods go, we think you might enjoy staying in the Strip District, which is close to the venue and full of great food, shops, and walkable spots. If you’re open to staying a bit farther out, Downtown Pittsburgh is also a great option with plenty of hotels and easy access to the Strip District. Another nearby area to consider is Lawrenceville, known for its restaurants, breweries, and boutiques—just a short drive or rideshare away.

Nearby Downtown Options

If you want more hotel variety or slightly bigger properties downtown (about a short walk or ride away):

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh – Stylish boutique hotel in downtown ~10-15 min walk from the Strip.

Tips

  • Strip District hotels are perfect for exploring local markets, food spots, and shops — and are super convenient for walking to the Art Room.

  • Downtown has more hotel choices and is still very close (about a 10–15-minute walk or short rideshare) with easy access to restaurants, nightlife, and transit.

Getting there

Flying

If you’re flying in, Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is the closest and most convenient option. The airport is about 20–25 minutes from the Strip District and Downtown Pittsburgh, depending on traffic.

From the airport, guests can:

  • Take a rideshare (Uber/Lyft) directly to their hotel

  • Rent a car at the airport

  • Use public transportation (bus service is available, though rideshare is usually the easiest option)

Getting around

Once you’re in the city, getting around is pretty simple:

  • Rideshare (Uber/Lyft): Widely available and the easiest way to travel between hotels, Downtown, the Strip District, and nearby neighborhoods.

  • Driving: If you’re renting a car, most hotels offer parking (some may charge a nightly fee). Street parking and garages are available throughout the Strip District and Downtown.

  • Walking: If you’re staying in the Strip District or Downtown, many restaurants, shops, and attractions are walkable.

  • Public Transit: Pittsburgh Regional Transit (buses and light rail) is an option, though rideshare tends to be more convenient for visitors.
